Roses Madness

November 23, 2019 · Discuss on the Geek Therapy Forum

Sometimes fear keeps up trapped keeps us unable to try new things it keeps us stuck in the past and unwilling to change. The Crystal Gem’s fear of Homeworld keeps them battling marbles on a consistent basis always on the defense. What happens when they finally listen to Steven?

Our perception of where we stand in someone else’s life is skewed by our own self-importance; Pearl feels that she knows all of Rose’s secrets and due to this in finding out that Rose kept secrets from her feels that she has lost part of her own identity. How can Steven help and what was this secret?

Why are they not setting their marshmallows on fire??? Steven gets gifted with future vision and sees several outcomes of procrastinating and hanging out with Connie. Steven learns that sometimes when he makes the right choice he will still get exactly what he wants.
Who do you call when you need to organize your overfull garage? Amethyst!!! Both Amethyst and Greg were friends prior to the loss of Rose and display codependent tendencies in this episode. Steven maybe parentified?

September 19, 2019 · Discuss on the Geek Therapy Forum

Another special episode with a special guest *insert fanfare* Lauren Keller. We are talking about Steven Universe THE MOVIE. We have feelings. All of the feelings. Big Feelings. This is a reaction episode. This is a SPOLIERIFIC episode be prepared. We talk about some of our thoughts with Steven consistently having to clean up his mother’s messes. But there is no deep dive into psychology. Just us showing our love for Steven Universe, the music, the artwork, and of course the actors.

The Running Horror Boys

September 10, 2019 · Discuss on the Geek Therapy Forum

Amethyst feels as if she doesn’t belong, Steven and her go on a quest just like the “No Home Boys.” Hay is not comfortable. Steven learns about the Kindergarten. Pearl finally tells Amethyst she belongs, in a sort of backhanded way.

Lars is jealous of Sadie having any friends other than him and when he hears that Sadie is going to a party with Steven and Reynoldo he has to go to, just because Sadie can’t have other friends. We get to see the beginning of Lars low self-esteem and get to discuss how trauma can leave a scar.

Future Test

August 2, 2019 · Discuss on the Geek Therapy Forum

What happens when you have the ability to see into the future? Does it help or do all the infinite possibilities hinder you from living your life?
Garnet learns that even though she wants Steven to learn all about her she still has to be careful on the information that is given because she can be what ultimately hurts him when he lives in fear.
The Crystal Gems let slip that the moon spire was a test to see if Steven was capable to go on missions with them. Anxiety can hinder our abilities to accomplish our goals and sometimes it’s ok to have something that is easier to help us get our confidence back.

Warp Tour

July 13, 2019 · Discuss on the Geek Therapy Forum

The gems begin to show their own fear in this episode and minimize Steven’s skills and abilities as a crystal gem. How do parents speak about fear or help their children work through their fears?
STEVONNIE!!!!!!!! We finally meet Stevonnie, The gems are beginning to attempt to teach Steven about fusion. This can be seen as the similarity of having the conversation of sex with your child. Steven is able to be himself with Connie and because of this, he is able to fuse with Connie.
